Today is the last day of the 2002 Winter Olympics at Salt Lake City, Utah. The closing ceremony will be tonight. ..... The last time I really watched the Winter Olympics was the LILLEHAMMER OLYMPICS of 1994. I was still married to Nathan. I somehow completely missed Nagano Winter games. I have no idea why. It's sort of a weird thing. I don't much like any of the sports for Summer Olympics except things like gymnastics and such but I love just about every sport, watching them, for the Winter Olympics. Yet, I DESPISE winter time. I don't know. Maybe it's just something about all these phenomenal people out there just CONQUERING the world of ice and snow with help from it. I guess I have deep-seated issues of winter. Who knew? I haven't watched anything patriotic since September 11th. I've not relived the moments of the attacks. I haven't watched the 60 Minutes and the Datelines and all the shows like that, that insist on meeting with the survivor's or the people left behind like wives and children and husbands. I didn't want to visit Ground Zero when I went to NYC in January. And the reason I haven't watched anything like this is because my emotions are still not stable concerning the whole thing.
