Some people are so poisonous in nature that they don't even have to be in the room to spread their vileness. People can just quote them and the nastiness is almost more than I can bear.
What kind of person, what kind of MOTHER or person makes comments like "I should have had two coat-hanger abortions." In referring to the only two children she ever gave birth to?
It makes me sick and makes me feel contaminated. Sometimes closing the door on certain things and persons is really, really, really the best thing.

Today was my annual sacrifice in that I attended @lix's birthday party at N@th@n and V1cki's. I do it for her as does Stuart as well.
I picked her up around 2 and off we went in search of a fabric store. We found one and she was just tickled when she got not 1, 2, or 3 different types of fabric but 4 whole yards. Plus 3 bags of polyfill, a set of purple handled shears and thread. Plus a big Rubbermaid box to keep it all together.
My mother never bothered to call her either on her birthday or in the past few days.

Erica and I shared in my family's old tradition of starting out the New Year with a dinner/lunch of sauerkraut, pork chops and mashed potatoes. I took a picture of it. Yum!
