Where are you and where are you from?
Originally from a little wee town, in upper northwestern Pennsylvania, I have been in North Carolina since August 1991.
I'd like to move to Arizona or New Mexico.
Family?
I have three kids. A 15 year old son, a 12 year old daughter and a 6 year old daughter. The 12 year old lives with my ex-husband in Montana. I'm not happy with this but it's what she wanted.
I have a husband who should probably nominated for Sainthood on some days just for putting up with me. He's a whole year older than I am. This gives me small comfort sometimes.
I am 32 and not quite sure how that happened.
I also have two cats and a dog. Blue, Bad Boy (the boyz) and Alex the Dog who is a girl.
I have a very abbreviated entry here explaining why I didn't raise Mikey from scratch and a lot of other things that happened from the time I turned 16 to present day.
Do you work?
I quit the job I had as the the manager of the New Media department at a newspaper. I did it for 5 years. I still work for the paper though, I just update from my house. It's time consuming but I have my beloved G4, my 23" monitor and they pay for my DSL connection. I will just have to suffer the extra 15 hours a week extra of work.
My full time job is once again, a Nursery Manager. Prior to the newspaper job (Dec. 1999-Oct 31, 2004) I was the manager of a Nursery/Greenhouse (March 97-Dec. 99).
I am getting ready to switch careers once again.
I WAS in the curriculum for nursing. I am still a certified Medical Responder in the state of North Carolina.
I'm not sure if I still want to go into Nursing. Becoming a teacher is something else I've been thinking about lately. Either way, I'm still taking night classes at a local community college and what I'm taking could fulfill either curriculum at this point. I've not taken any specialized classes yet.
I've decided to enroll in the College transfer program because I plan on getting at least a Bachelor's degree. In something. I'll figure out what when I get further along.
What else?
I've been keeping an online journal since February 1997 but I took all my archives and old journals offline at the end of July 2003. I did this for a few reasons. Maybe I'll reinstate them over time but right now I'm enjoying starting over.
