Iris

The above photo taken April 18, 2004. These are the old fashioned lavender iris that are in every farmhouse yard down here in North Carolina. They have a smaller flower than some of the named varieties. Very tough plants though. The thrive on neglect and will flower where ever you happen to throw down some of the rhizomes.

My father in law gave this one to me, I'm not sure of the name. It may be 'Bold Print' which is considered an Intermediate Iris. Grows about 22" in height. Blooms after the dwarf irises.

Another old fashioned iris that has no name. Purple falls, white beard. It blooms early, before the Intermediates and other Irises.

A pretty pale pink with pink/orange beards. Very showy. Possibly "Just For Sophie' or 'Pink Swan'. I think it's 'Just For Sophie' though because of the tangerine beard.

This is a pale peach with brown undertones and it has a bright orange beard.
