January 3, 2009 After a month of updating, thanks to Holidailies (love ya Jette and Chip, that thing is totally a labor of love!), but yeah, updating. I can't believe how much I have missed my space here. Myspace and Facebook just are NOT the same thing. I have blogged but I have not journaled. And there is a huge difference in that for me. I'm still an "old school" journaler. I learned so much about myself since I have started this. February 1997. Can you believe it's been almost 11 years? And through all the ups and downs, the false starts, the silence that lasted months at at a time when I just felt too heart broken to write, you guys are still here. John. Amanda. Kate. CMHaynes. All of you that kept in contact with me no matter where I ended up. You have no idea how much the thought of your presence kept me going. I have a couple friends here in NC that would be there for me in the same ways but you guys, well, you know me more intimately than most people on this planet. I have felt like a train wreck so often but honestly, being able to write it down and get it out has always helped. It's helped me remember the really crappy times and it's helped me remember important things that have happened in my life and in my children's lives. I may not be able to update every day after Holidailies concludes, but I know, that I am going to make a huge effort to keep journaling. I have missed it and I have missed you. |
