January 7, 2009 Wow. It is WINDY out there today. ... I'm going to take Erica to the library later and hopefully, the bakery that sells the lovely Pain au chocolat will be open and I'm going let her try it out. I love that place. I also just made plans to eat lunch next Monday with an old high school friend. WHEE!!! Long past due! So, I'm excited about that. .... How incredible is this? The sterling silver necklace is gorgeous. What a story. Puts my pathetic complaints into perspective. Just one more reason to love the internet. ...... I went out to wait for Erica to appear on the horizon when school let out. If we're home, one of us, usually walks out to the road and watches for her to come into view. As I was standing out there, I heard a noise behind me and looked over my shoulder in time to see a rather large pine tree fall and crash across the road. It was a stormy day and it had been super windy after raining for what seemed like weeks. A little it of extra wind and voila. I called 911 to have them dispatch someone to take care of it because Kevin wasn't home and there was no way I could pull it off the road. In the meantime, we got the camera and I took some video. .... Like, a week later and I'm still trying to finish this. ARGH. Busy.
