My fortune

I think my fortune from the Golden Phoenix covers it all.

This swag is too sexy for itself! KarenD rocks the quilting scene!

I was SO tired by this time. And HUNGRY. Bad combination. Photo by Amanda

I don't even remember having this picture taken but it was right before I zonked Friday evening. I was so TIRED. I think I managed to stay up until like, 10:30 pm Pacific Standard Time. Which is later than I've stayed up, on purpose, in years. See the heating pad I brought with me? Yes. I brought a heating pad with me to JournalCon. Fibromyalgia sucks. So does being stuck in a little itty bitty plane seat for hours. My neck and shoulders were racked by this time.

Photo taken by nice waiter at Perry's

Breakfast was SO good. The restaurant attached to the hotel, Perry's, had great food! I had the Sourdough French Bread for breakfast. Along with my $4.00 glass of orange juice. Crazy city prices.

The company was good and I wish I hadn't been freaking out about my panel which was getting ready to start just mere minutes away at this point.

The panel I was on. I look like a big doofus. As usual.

It was a good panel to be on. I felt very comfortable with MollyZero and SlaveGirl, aka Lunesse. I had a great time speaking even if I nearly hyperventilated before hand.

And as soon as I was done, here comes Amanda and down she sets a cold Diet Pepsi. I love that girl!

My first dollar bill used to pay for a public bus ride.

This is the boat they made me ride in to get to Alcatraz.
San Francisco was beautiful. We were very fortunate with the weather: sunny and mostly clear for the trip. It was a little chilly in the shade to me because of the wind but bearable.

I had to stand up on the seats to get this shot. It was worth almost falling on my ass to take the picture.
Alcatraz was so impressive. I've seen it on so many movies and documentaries but it's just so much MORE in person.

Viv, Jared and myself hiked down from the top of Alcatraz back to the Ferry. Amanda took this picture of Viv and me as they passed us by on the tram.
I liked this painting. I took a picture of it but it's on the roll of film I can't find. Thanks to Amanda for letting me supplement my photo page with some of her shots.

Amanda made me make my "wrinkle" face. I'm trying to be serious here. I didn't do such a good job.

The photo of Amanda is because she's wearing my sunglasses. The ones I've had for about 2-3 years now. I spent $10 on those things and the one stem is held on by a paperclip piece but they completely cover my eyes. I love my sunglasses.

I know you must be so fascinated by these lovely little facts.

Singing Minority by Green Day with John Scalzi. SO SO MUCH FUN!

Trish and I took a little teensy trip to Chinatown on Sunday afternoon.

Big tall buildings.
The clock you can see from the Garden Terrace. Time caught forever at 6:20 pm.

Oh Ms. Glitter tries to look so INNOCENT with her evil little bag...the bag that is possessed!

As Trish drove me and Michael Hardy and Lynda to the airport, I took this picture looking back on where I was leaving. I hated to go.

A hill! And a billboard on the side of a hill! And houses on the side of the hill! Hills! I never get to see hills. Everything is so FLAT here.

Good-bye San Francisco!

These look like foothills to some range but I have no idea exactly where we were flying. So. It's a cool shot with the fog lying in. I wish the reflection from the window weren't so apparent.

The colors in this picture speak to me.

Part of Bryce National Canyon.

I took this photo, sideways and pointing at an awkward angle. It looks like black snakes ripping into the earth.

Bryce canyon was so cool to see from the sky. I can only imagine what the Grand Canyon must be like.

I loved seeing it. The lighting and colors are so different from what I see all the time. So wild in comparison to the cloak of green everything wears here in North Carolina.

I can't wait to go back west.
