This song is so COOL!  I love the music and the words and boy is this song applicable to ME!!!

Goodnight Moon by Shivaree

There's A Nail In The Door
And There's Glass On The Lawn
Tacks On The Floor
And The TV Is On
And I Always Sleep With My Guns
When You're Gone

There's A Blade By The Bed
And A Phone In My Hand
A Dog On The Floor
And Some Cash On The Nightstand
When I'm All Alone The Dreaming Stops
And I Just Can't Stand

What Should I Do I'm Just A Little Baby
What If The Lights Go Out And Maybe
And Then The Wind Just Starts To Moan
Outside The Door He Followed Me Home

Well Goodnight Moon
I Want The Sun
If It's Not Here Soon
I Might Be Done
No It Won't Be Too Soon 'til I Say
Goodnight Moon

There's A Shark In The Pool
And A Witch In The Tree
A Crazy Old Neighbour And He's Been Watching Me
And There's Footsteps Loud And Strong Coming Down The Hall

Something's Under The Bed
Now It's Out In The Hedge
There's A Big Black Crow Sitting On My Window Ledge
And I Hear Something Scratching Through The Wall

Oh What Should I Do I'm Just A Little Baby
What If The Lights Go Out And Maybe
I Just Hate To Be All Alone
Outside The Door He Followed Me Home
Now Goodnight Moon

I Want The Sun
If It's Not Here Soon
I Might Be Done
No It Won't Be Too Soon 'til I Say
Goodnight Moon

Well You're Up So High
How Can You Save Me
When The Dark Comes Here
Tonight To Take Me Up
The Mouth From Woke
And Into Bed Where It Kisses My Face
And Eats My Hand

What Should I Do I'm Just A Little Baby
What If The Lights Go Out And Maybe
And Then The Wind Just Starts To Moan
Outside The Door He Followed Me Home
Now Goodnight Moon

I Want The Sun
If It's Not Here Soon
I Might Be Done
No It Won't Be Too Soon 'til I Say
Goodnight Moon
No It Won't Be Too Soon 'til I Say
Goodnight Moon

Enya's newest CD is actually, surprisingly, very enjoyable. The song "Wild Child" makes me think of Erica. I thought it was going to be a big yawnfest but I am pleasently shocked that the CD IS so good. Very relaxing and uplifting.

Chantal Kreviazuk is such a great singer. She's the one that sings the theme song to Providence. Also has some other songs that I've heard on television and I love her cover of "Leaving On A Jet Plane". I've never heard of her before tracking down the woman singing that song that makes me just WEEP on Providence. God. It's so incredible and I just want to cry. She's a powerful female singer.

She reminds me sometimes of Tori Amos in voice.

Moving Pictures

LIMELIGHT

Living on a
lighted
stage
Approaches the unreal
For those who think and feel
In touch with some reality
Beyond the gilded cage.

Cast in this unlikely role,
Ill-equipped to act,
With insufficient tact,
One must put up barriers
To keep oneself intact.

Living in the Limelight,
The universal dream
For those who wish to seem.
Those who wish to be
Must put aside the alienation,
Get on with the fascination,
The real relation,
The underlying theme.

Living in a fisheye lens,
Caught in the camera eye.
I have no heart to lie,
I can't pretend a stranger
Is a long-awaited friend.

All the world's indeed a
stage,
And we are merely players,
Performers and portrayers,
Each another's audience
Outside the gilded cage.

TOM SAWYER

A modern-day warrior
Mean mean stride,
Today's Tom Sawyer
Mean mean pride.

Though his mind is not for rent,
Don't put him down as arrogant.
His reserve, a quiet defense,
Riding out the day's events.
The river

And what you say about his company
Is what you say about society.
Catch the mist, catch the myth
Catch the mystery, catch the drift.

The world is, the world is,
Love and life are deep,
Maybe as his eyes are wide.

Today's Tom Sawyer,
He gets high on you,
And the space he invades
He gets by on you.

No, his mind is not for rent
To any god or government.
Always hopeful, yet discontent,
He knows changes aren't permanent,
But change is.

And what you say about his company
Is what you say about society.
Catch the witness, catch the wit,
Catch the spirit, catch the spit.

The world is, the world is,
Love and life are deep,
Maybe as his skies are wide.

Exit the warrior,
Today's Tom Sawyer,
He gets high on you,
And the energy you trade,
He gets right on to the friction of the day.
