June 2002

Received a mix cassette from Kymm with some stuff I've never heard before like Moxy Fruvous along with my favorite song from Gillian Welch: Revelator and my favorite Allison Krauss song: The Lucky One. Good stuff. Also received the mix CD from Marne 'A Woman's Hands' that introduced me to quite a few new female artists that I was not familiar with before like Sinead Lohan, Cowboy Junkies as well as intro'in me to some songs by some I've listened to before like the title track by Paula Cole. I love it. ---------- June 12, 2002 I downloaded about 4 different versions of the Rolling Stone's "Paint It Black" and the cover that Vanessa Carlton does of this song blows everybody else out of the water including the Stones. The music sounds better and more complex and the way she sings it puts pure chills up and down my spine. Passionate and full. Best cover ever. Other favorite covers include: Come On Eileen - No Doubt
