Avril Lavigne sounds a LOT like the lead singer from The Cranberries during the song: Losing My Grip. Most of the songs are surprisingly good on this CD. The hit single "Complicated" is not the best song on the album.

I sang karaoke for the first time at JournalCon. I didn't do well. But I had fun!
I sang: Paint It Black with Jen Wade, Emily and a top favorite Minority by Green Day with John Scalzi. I had a blast!
I got lots of mix CD's too.
One from Trish, one from the mix exchange list that Kymm is running, one from the TUS message board and a few from Amanda. PLUS the other mixes I'm still listening too.
Recent find: Shakespear's Sister. I love the song Stay.

Middle of October already. Amazing.
I've been listening to Schmuel's mix The Sacred and The Profane, Ivee's mix Embracing The Twang and Mo's mix In A Van Down By The River.
LOTS of stuff that's all new.
Blender is THE best music magazine. It has more information and reviews in it than Rolling Stone could ever hope to publish in 3 issues to Blender's 1.

This month has been a good one for music. Mo's CD, The Cocksuckers Vol. I, some stuff from Amanda, a mix from Trish and some others I'm not recalling right off the top of my head. Good stuff.
I've listened a lot to one particular song though and I'm not sure why but it won't go away out of my head.
She Fuckin' Hates Me by Puddle of Mudd
I LOVE this damn song. How can you not love a lyric like:
"She was queen for about an hour. After that, shit got sour."
Hah! Love it.

I completely blame the people who sang those damn ABBA songs at JC Karaoke as to why I'm d/l'ing a bunch of Abba songs. It's just a sickness.

All Through The Night by Cyndi Lauper is probably one of my most favorite songs ever. I'm not sure why but it always sounds like Christmas to me.
