The doctor's appointment went well. I'm VERY impressed with the place and the nurses/doctors. Goldsboro seems to be the place to go for medical care in our immediate area. I've not seen better anywhere.

One of the things about the place I thought was really neat was that there were two different waiting rooms. One for sick kids and one for babies and kids just there getting a checkup. I like that.

And talk about thorough!!! I remember Alixs' well baby check-ups and they were NO WHERE near what they do at this place. They checked her from the top of her head to the tips of her feet. Literally. Moving her legs around (checking for possible dislocation?), checking her startle response, her ears, mouth and throat, her eyes, palpated her stomach, checked the umbilical cord, ...... she checked everything. I was very pleased with how the Nurse Practioner treated her and Stuart and me.

She has gained just under 1 lb. She was 6 lbs 15 oz and she is now 7 lbs 13 oz. Same length and all that. Very alert...the nurse was pleased with her progress.

She also told us to keep waking her during the day. This ought to be interesting. Next appointment she gets 3 shots (oh man I hate that) and it's at the end of January.
