Spit Bubbles
| 8:00
p.m. Monday Evening
This day finds me more and more enamoured of this child. Each day that passes. Her smile fills me with such love and joy that it brings tears to my eyes and I have to catch my breath. She is all pink and white and blue-eyed sweetness. I picked her up from Stuart's Moms after work the other day and for once she was awake. J had her sitting on her lap burping her. I sat down next to her and started talking to her and she just started wiggling and cooing and smiling. She was happy to see me. I thought that was so cool. I am turning into the doting mother. I can't stand to hear her cry. She is just too sweet and loving! Gah! I sound so syrupy but I can't help it. I mean really. She has turned out to be the sweetest and most good-natured child. Stuart's Mom says that Stuart was just like that when he was a baby. God knows she didn't get my sour disposition. She sleeps through the night. I guess you could say that. For the past week she falls asleep anywhere between 7pm and 10pm. She wakes up somewhere between 4:30 am and 6:30 am. So now I get a full night of sleep every other night except weekends. Big Grins here! She was laying down on her blanket tonight and I caught her trying to make spit bubbles. Too cute! I think she is teething. Talk about a drool factory all of a sudden. She wears clothes that fit a 6 month old Kelsey (sisters baby). She is definitely a solid child. The other night she was really fussy and Stuart was getting sort of upset because no matter what he did it didn't work. He finally got her to calm down and I took her and sat her on my leg, holding her in the crook of my left arm as I read through email. She was perfectly content sitting on my lap for quite awhile. I guess it helps that I throw a constant patter of conversation at her. Not just baby talk either. I just babble along like an idiot but she enjoys it. ;) He said that he didn't get how she could sit for such a long period of time, happily with me. It's all in the conversation I told him! |
