Dive Time: a new diver's experiences

3-8-07:

I just wanted to clarify that I started my initial dive lessons with a dive shop other than Capital Scuba. The initial dive shop has since gotten rid of the manager/instructor I was dealing with and the people in place now seem to be really cool and have their stuff together.

The dive community is very small and I just want to make sure that if you know me and know the shops I've dealt with, that there is no doubts or wondering what in the world kind of thing but I also want to make sure that if I write something about my initial training that seems sort of messed up, that it is known that I did not start with Capital Scuba and ScubaDave. Because he? Is the Best. I wouldn't be diving at this point if not for him and his extreme patience and ability to correct misinformation. Best.

I didn't get to work with ScubaDave until I went down to Alexander Springs to do my check out dives at the beginning of December.

So, what's in your Save-A-Dive kit?

Tell me! I don't have one yet and my first ocean dive is coming up in just over a month or so. I am so. nervous. And excited but OCEAN! Dive! In the OCEAN!!!

:)
