Dive Time: a new diver's experiences

Dives #30 and #31:

Working on those dive numbers pretty hard! :)

One thing I did on Sunday was take my second stage apart and do the annual changing of the parts. It's an Atmos Sport. I had taken one apart and put it back together at the seminar up at Blue Stone but that was a month ago and you tend to forget what you don't do. So, Dave helped me but I took it apart, replaced the components, washed the parts out in the sonic rinser and proceeded to put it back together. With Dave's help on making sure I was putting it back together right because I was getting ready to dive the thing and didn't want a faulty reg on the dive. Then, started the fill on my Nitrox tanks. I didn't end up filling them all the way, Michael took over, because we had some customers come in the store but I hadn't filled anything but regular air tanks at that point. Little bit at a time...

First dive on Sunday, went in around 2:45PM. Les was up and had been camping with a friend but apparently the friend went home and the other dude that was supposed to meet him couldn't make it so he went on the first dive with us.

I had talked Michael into going back again to that back entry point as I am DETERMINED to find the plane from that direction. Went in, looked around, viz was a bit better because it was sunny out and not so gray. Still pretty cold once you hit 40'. We went around a bit doing a search, didn't find it, turned the dive.

Dive #31 we went in the opposite direction, I was getting cold and didn't want to stay down as long so we finned along the north wall in a westerly direction for about 30 minutes or so and that was it.
